About the role

As a proactive and dynamic Business Development Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of the global expansion of e-days®. You'll be directly engaging and bringing new enterprise customers on board with our hugely successful software platform, adding to our portfolio of existing brands such as ASOS, Canon, Dentons, Barclays and Sony.  

The role is primarily based at our brand new HQ in Nottingham city centre, working as part of our growing Sales team, but you'll be meeting customers regularly at national locations to engage with various buying teams within potential client structures. 

You will be supported in your role by an Outbound sales team and an innovative marketing team, who you will be your go-to collaborators in developing unique campaigns to maximise connections within your territory. 

The role has a generous and uncapped accompanying commission plan with accelerators in place on achievement of target. As an individual who is always looking to deliver above and beyond, this structure will give you the opportunity to significantly earn above your OTE.

Your responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Building an aspirational brand – Championing e-days as a sector leader within your focus verticals and as an aspirational service for best practice absence management
  • Building a network - Generating leads and responding to sales enquiries ensuring high enquiry-to-sales conversion rates; building and nurturing lasting relationships with business contacts
  • Delivering System Discovery Meetings – Working with multiple stakeholders within a prospect to understand, evolve and present a business justification for the purchase of e-days
  • Virtual Team Management – Coordinate Outbound sales and marketing teams to develop and execute on campaigns to engage with your defined territory
  • Keeping track of data - Logging and reporting of all sales activity via CRM system
  • Work to targets - Achieve daily/weekly KPIs including number of System Discovery sessions held, enquiry conversion rate, and monthly MRR delivered
  • Leading tender processes - Leadership of proposal writing and pitch meetings for customer opportunities.
  • Knowledge of the system – Nurture your interest in our software and keep yourself continually up to date with the latest features and changes

 

About you

To help make sure we’re delivering world-class software solutions, you must:

  • Have solid experience in business development or sales/software sales to organisations above 1,000 users in size
  • Be really customer-centric, with a drive to deliver an amazing service at each interaction
  • Have a wider understanding of the HRIS marketplace, our competitors and challenges in the absence management sector
  • Be self-motivated, pro-active and have a ‘never give up’ attitude
  • Be an excellent communicator in person, over the phone and in writing
  • Be an advocate for structured sales engagement and innovation to improve the overall sales team output and development of new team members
  • Have a real passion for technology with and the benefits that digital transformation provides
