We're on the hunt for a hungry Software Sales Consultant to join our superstar Sales team. You’ll be helping lead the global expansion of e-days by engaging and bringing new customers on board. You'll be primarily focused on working with and engaging our SME customers (small to medium sized businesses).

We're incredibly lucky to have a strong pipeline of inbound leads (in the form of demonstration requests). You'll be giving potential new customers an insight into our software platform through an online demo and showcasing how e-days can transform their internal absence management processes. You'll work to a monthly targeted close rate, and additionally generate your own business pipeline to overachieve on target. The commissions plan is generous (and uncapped) with accelerators in place on achievement of target!

The role is predominantly based from our HQ in Nottingham city centre and there are always opportunities to get out and about to visit clients face to face if needed.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building a network - Generating leads and responding to sales enquiries ensuring high enquiry-to-sales conversion rates; building and nurturing lasting relationships with business contacts
  • Generating Sales – Understanding the needs of potential new customers and negotiating sales of the e-days system
  • Delivering System Demonstrations – Highlighting features and advantages of the e-days system to potential clients via online screen-share demonstrations
  • Marketing - Market segmentation and direct sector-specific marketing campaigns
  • Keeping track of data - Logging and reporting of all sales activity via CRM (Salesforce) system
  • Work to targets - Achieve daily/weekly KPIs including telephone targets, client and contact input to CRM
  • Leading tender processes - Taking ownership of proposal writing and pitch meetings for customer opportunities
  • Keeping the process going - Make follow up calls with customers after their initial demo to help answer questions; conduct a really good handover with the customer support team as part of the onboarding process
  • Knowledge of the system – Nurture your interest in our software and keep yourself continually up to date with the latest features and changes
  • Team-player – Collaborate with our internal teams, especially the Accounts and Support teams, to make sure everyone is kept in the loop throughout the customer onboarding journey

 

About you

We think the perfect person that we're looking for will:

  • Have some solid experience in business development or sales/software sales
  • Be really customer-centric, with a drive to deliver an amazing service at each interaction
  • Be self-motivated, pro-active and have a ‘never give up’ attitude
  • Be an excellent communicator in person, over the phone and in writing
  • Have a strong understanding of the sales process and sales cycles
  • Have a real passion for technology
  • Have an understanding of web-based applications
  • Have a solid knowledge of Excel and other MS Office applications
  • Be a great problem-solver
  • Be able to successfully juggle lots of different activities at once
