About the role

We absolutely love the people that work for us. They are passionate about our software, driven to achieve great things, constant collaborators and definitely full of fun! Finding new people to join us is a really important task - we want to create a diverse, development-focused, fun culture and so naturally we take recruitment really seriously. This is where you come in!

As our Talent Acquisition Assistant, you'll be joining our dedicated People Team and you will be supporting a very important challenge for the business; the global expansion of e-days. We’re expanding the functionality of our software, as well as targeting new sectors... and we’re growing the team with lots of great new people!

You’ll be helping deliver our plan to attract and hire the very best talent to our business. You’ll be the first point of contact for our candidates and you’ll need to live and breathe our culture.

You’ll take ownership for our candidate journeys; from taking the time to get under the skin of and understand new roles when they are created, finding great talent from a variety of sources, engaging candidates with our brand, scheduling interviews, creating selection tasks and supporting managers during interviews. You will be our super-duper, in-house recruiter!

There will be genuine opportunities for you to grow and develop your career at e-days. This role is perfect for someone at the start of their career looking to grow into a guru of Talent Acquisition, or wanting to develop a career as a generalist HR professional. You’ll be mentored by our People Lead and be exposed to all areas of HR. You’ll be looked upon to bring in your own ideas and to create new ways of working, to innovate and challenge the status quo!

We’re open to flexible or part-time working options on this role too!

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Sourcing Talent – support the People Lead to deliver the talent acquisition strategy: to find and attract amazing people to work at e-days; work with line managers to create exciting and attractive job descriptions and candidate profiles; utilise a variety of channels (social media, job boards, agencies, networking, job fairs, placements etc) to advertise job roles
  • Project Management – manage each role as its own project; work to defined timescales and understand potential risks to these deadlines, engage all the relevant stakeholders at each step in the process and be responsible for the flow of communication for the duration of the project.
  • A Great Candidate Journey – Take ownership for the creation of an engaging journey that candidates will go on when looking to work with e-days; manage our applicant tracking system (Teamtailor), keep candidates up to date with the status of their applications, carry out phone interviews, support face to face interviews and deliver feedback to unsuccessful candidates
  • Selecting Great People – Work with the People Lead to develop innovative selection techniques, to include delivering profiles alongside competency based interviews; support line managers in their hiring decisions.
  • Onboarding – Support the onboarding of new starters by creating offer packs and keep the excitement alive with continuous communication with newbies before they arrive; deliver the company induction to new starters, and support line managers with the onboarding journeys within a newbie’s first 3 months.
  • Help Create A Great Place to Work – Provide ad hoc support to the People Lead in delivery of the overall People strategy in creating a genuinely awesome working environment e.g. supporting the delivery of our annual engagement survey, internal communications, health and wellbeing activity, employee reward and recognition, and our annual development plan.
  • Innovate – Keep our talent acquisition processes fun, engaging and memorable by reviewing how recruitment processes operate and developing improvements as needed; keep up to date with trends in recruitment and the local candidate market
  • Team Player - Collaborate with all of our internal teams to make sure we’ve got a constant flow of proactive conversation
